any time you can right click on the song (or album) you are listening, to tell how much you are willing to pay to see a Creative Commons license applied to it. If the total amount of all poll answers for this music (gathered from many sources via the Internet, not only Listen) reaches a certain mark, yooook contacts the right holders for a proposal. If they agree you’ll be contacted back to really liberate the content (yooook’s main service). This system aims to help music funding and file sharing legalization, but not only. Indeed, when a liberation poll is answered from Listen, the Listen user on yooook is declared as a Rallying Entity, its account will receive a share of the liberation amount to fund the development of the software.

A new version of gmixer (1.3) fixes an issue, when popup-slider is updated and that no existing statusbar is available.

For an easier maintenance and a better usability  I have decided to migrate Listen and gmixer in a launchpad/bazaar project.

I have already moved Listen svn repo in multiple bazaar branches on launchpad, you can now access the trunk source code with “bzr branch lp:listen”

If you are using (x)ubuntu, you will soon be able to use a ppa.
