Description (last modified by theli) (diff)
Keywords generated when searching for metadata (cover art is mostly what I'm thinking of, but I suppose this could be applied elsewhere).
Right now, the selection of keywords for searching is very straight-forward, and probably works fine for people who tend to have collections where each album is by a single artist.
For people with massive anthology collections (granted my sample set is a whopping one, so I don't know how widely this applies), this keyword selection tends to result in failed searches, so cover art is not automatically retrieved in the majority of cases.
Note, my collection is organized on a track-level basis, *not* an album-level basis, so every track is encoded with the artist(s) specific to that track.
Suggestions for improving this (this seems to work for me when performing manual adjustments for these searches, but this is highly subjective):
* When generating the keyword list, check related tracks; if all tracks for a single album are by the same artist, include the artist name in the search. Otherwise, do *not* include the artist name (not even "Various"; this seems to generate a lot of failures). In the case of anthologies, searching on *just* the album title seems to be more reliable.
* It may be worthwhile to test to see if the artist name is repeated in the album title as well, but I'm not sure if that really affects search results.
* Should automatically filter out Disc 1, Disc 2, etc; I notice this can already be handled, but the interface doesn't seem to work. At least, I can't add new terms.
