Ipod non syncing if listen called from gnome menu

Description

as reported in the title, i installed ubuntu 8.04 package of listen 0.5 and after modifying a few lines i succeded in using listen. Now i connected my ipod nano 4gb 3rd gen and i noticed that adding a song to ipod works only if listen is called by terminal. If so, i can see all the copy process and it returns me the result like:

Song to add 0
Song to add 1
Song to transfert 1
after:file:///media/IPOD/iPod_Control/Music/F06/gtkpod839578.mp3
Song transfered 1
Song not transfered 0
Save iPod database...
save_db took 3283.724ms

but if i do the same after having called listen by gnome menu it doesn't copy anything at all... isn't it a weird behavior? is there a way to solve it?

i know, i tried again launching it by gnome menu. listen is able to copy tracks to ipod but sometimes it just doesn't. i checked it through the total tracks counter. with almost any track i have to drag it twice to see the counter grow. anyway, it works. maybe it's something related to my itunesdb.

thank you :)
