Listen can be extended with plugins

The interface can have 4 display modes:

  • a mini mode to preserve the screen space
  • a playlist mode like xmms interface
  • a normal mode with all listen features in the same window
  • a Party mode (fullscreen)

Two different notifications can be used, a fancy On Screen Display or the system notification service (libnotify)

It also supports command line and dbus to easily interact with other applications.

Many audio formats are supported (ogg, flac, mpc, mp3, mp4, m4a)

You can update metadata informations of all sorts of media or fetch it with musicbrainz.
